Standard / FreeAccess 750 kg

The tail lift for trucks with gross vehicle weight 3.5 - 7.5 t

Open, closed, up, down – this is how one could define the requirements for a tail lift. In the light vehicle classes, the payload plays a central role. For this purpose, BÄR offers the weight-optimised BC 750 S2L. If a ball head coupling is often used, the fixed underrun bar of the BC 750 S4 is an advantage. When transporting bulky goods, the BC 750 S2S supports with a high load moment and high platforms. And for frequent pick up of smaller quantities, the vertically folded FreeAccess platform of the BC 750 A2L allows free access to the charging space at all times. The key factor for all these Cargolifts is either the 2=4 technology (S2 with 2 cylinders) or the weight-optimised further development of the proven S4 products (4 cylinders). Because stable and at the same time lightweight Cargolifts are the optimal companions for the light vehicle class.

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

A 750 kg tail lift is often the preferred choice for light commercial vehicles because it offers sufficient lifting performance for most distribution and service applications while minimizing additional vehicle weight. This helps maximize payload and operational efficiency. For vehicles in this segment, Bar Cargolift tail lifts offer several 750 kg solutions optimized for different transport requirements.

For fleets where maximizing usable payload matters most, the BC 750 S2L is the lightest option in the range, weighing just 160 kg while still lifting 750 kg. This makes it ideal for chassis where every kilogram of unladen weight counts toward revenue-generating cargo capacity. Fleet managers planning vehicle specs across multiple chassis types can rely on Bar Cargolift's BC 750 series to balance weight efficiency with reliable lifting performance.

The BC 750 S4 features a fixed underrun bar and four-cylinder technology, making it the preferred choice when a ball-head coupling is regularly fitted to the vehicle. This differs structurally from the 2=4 technology (two cylinders) used in the S2L, S2S, and A2L variants resulting in more payload for the user. Body builders integrating rear-mounted equipment can count on Bar Cargolift with lifting capacity 750 kg to deliver a compatible, standardized mounting solution.

Aluminum platforms combine low weight with high structural strength and corrosion resistance. They help improve vehicle payload while maintaining durability in daily logistics operations. Aluminum platform technology is a core feature of all Bar Cargolift tail lifts.

Because of the wide variety of chassis on the market, most BC 750 S2L, S2S, and A2L installations require a lightweight aluminium fitment adapter, while the S4 uses vehicle-specific attachment kits — both add some weight to the overall unit. Technicians can find exact specifications and weights in the dedicated portfolio brochure. Bar Cargolift provides detailed mounting documentation so workshops can select the correct adapter or kit for each job.

Designed specifically for rental fleets, Bar Cargolift offers the new BC 75 S with a load capacity of 750 kg and a compact range of features. These include the CargoFlash indicator light, a foot control and a simple roll-stop – a streamlined basic specification that is suitable for flexible use in rental vehicles. Serial bodybuilders can also fit the lift quickly using a special mounting device, which facilitates installation on different chassis. The BC 75 S thus complements Bar Cargolift’s portfolio with an efficient solution for the rental sector.

The number of cylinders depends on the requirements: if a tail-lift is to be as light as possible, it often has two cylinders – one lifting cylinder and one tilting cylinder. Thanks to the 2=4 technology with integrated tilt compensation, two cylinders are sufficient for most transport tasks. These tail-lifts are generally limited in the platform heights available to prevent overloading caused by incorrectly positioned loads (see the glossary entry on load capacity and practical tips). Bar Cargolift therefore often opts for tail-lifts with two cylinders, particularly in weight-sensitive vehicle classes.
