The European Union is continuously working to improve road safety. In addition to protecting drivers from accidents, it is also about the safety of vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
In this context, Regulation EU 2019/214 - also known as General Safety Regulation GSR II came into force in 2020. This regulation will become binding in July 2024.
Please note that the installation of a tail lift can have an influence on the implementation of the individual GSR requirements - more precisely: on the requirements for the reversing assistant and the "blind spot" assistant. Further information on GSR-compliant vehicle adaptation can be found in the vehicle manufacturer's bodybuilder guidelines.
