Bär Cargolift - Lifting Performance.

Low-maintenance bearings out of Iglidur (VI 05/2016)

Bär Cargolift uses low-maintenance bearings for a long time. Because these bearings combine good sliding properties with a high wear resistance. For Cargolifts up to 1.500 kg capacity we use for several years slide bearings out of Iglidur. Due to the latest evolutions of this material we have now tested the IGUS slide bearings for the lifting capacities 2.000 kg – 2.500 kg - with success!

Iglidur is a compound material out of a thermoplastic alloy, reinforced by a network made of composite fibers and homogeneously interspersed with solid lubricants. This leads to a high-strength material with regard to pressure resistance, heat resistance and creep resistance. The solid lubricants integrated in the slide bearing ensure a direct lubrication - even in starting movements when conventional bearings do not show a continuous lubricant surface.

Due to these advantages all Cargolifts with lifting capacity 2.000 kg – 2.500 kg are equipped with IGUS bearings (except the mechanical link). Despite the self-lubricating characteristics we recommend to keep the lubrication intervals.

We ask for your understanding that a mixture of old and new bearings might occur in the transitional period. It does not impact functionality. Nevertheless we try to omit it. In case of questions we are pleased to answer.
